Three-Week Portfolio Blueprint
Engineering Your Roadmap: A Three-Week Timeline
We do not believe in open-ended, slow-moving consulting engagements. We run a rigorous, fast-paced three-week evaluation to calibrate your product portfolio and deliver clear, actionable results that match our three core lenses.
Week 1: Material Culture & Visual Audit
The goal of this week is to examine your physical assets and evaluate their cultural placement.
Client Input: Provide your brand guidelines, images and/or samples of your current product catalog, and any existing analyses of your current users or customers.
Asset Inventory: We physically and visually analyze your current product lines. We look closely at their materials, form factors, and presence.
Contextual Mapping: We study your lineup through the lens of material culture and design history. We map exactly where your products sit in today's visual landscape and look for hidden gaps your competitors are missing.
Touchpoint Evaluation: We look at how your products are presented, packaged, and experienced at key customer touchpoints to verify brand authenticity.
Week 2: Financial Reality & Roadmap Modeling
The goal of this week is to ground your product ecosystem in financial reality.
Client Input: Provide your Profit & Loss Statements over the last 24–36 months. We need to see the Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, and Gross Profit line items by product SKU. Ideally, this data can be provided on a monthly basis, rather than annual.
Spreadsheet Alignment: We look at your financial statement details from the last few years. Focusing on top-line revenue, we trace your products and product lines to revenue streams, growth rates, and gross profit margins. Based on this analysis, we may recommend products, product lines, and/or product bundling.
Scenario Modeling: We build financial projection models that link products with sales goals, revenue streams, projected revenue growth rates, and desired gross profit margins. We run roadmap scenarios that explore how modifying, expanding, or introducing specific products or product lines will affect revenue growth and margins.
Week 3: Product Strategy, Roadmap & Blueprint
The goal of this week is to turn our findings into a highly structured, sequential blueprint.
Product Strategy: We lock together our cultural insights and financial data. We offer a product strategy with creative tactics. This is designed for your team to capitalize on product strengths and market opportunities, while driving toward higher sales goals, revenue stream growth benchmarks, and optimized margins.
Product Roadmap: We engineer a clear, phased launch and release roadmap that sequences your future product pipeline over the next 24 months. We may recommend bundling, unbundling, versioning, rebranding, or repricing of existing products, as well as creating new product concepts.
Deliverable: Product Portfolio Blueprint: You receive the following hard assets:
Material Culture & Visual Audit (Asset Inventory, Contextual Mapping, Touchpoint Evaluation)
Financial Reality & Roadmap Modeling (Spreadsheet Alignment, Scenario Modeling)
Product Strategy, Roadmap & Blueprint (Product Strategy, Product Roadmap, Summary Evaluation and Recommendation)
We present a summary evaluation and recommendation. We summarize how to engineer your product portfolio to unlock strategic expansion, protect your margins, and forge visual cultural depth.
